So if you haven’t noticed yet, I am always on the hunt to find new, local coffee shops in Toronto, so I thought I’d let you in on my experiences.
Considering I attended a local University, I thought it would be appropriate to write my first coffee post about one of the famous and closest cafés to the main campus.
Dineen Coffee Company is in my top 10 list of coffee shops to visit in the city. If you have not been to this café, I think it’s time to take a trip.

In my opinion, they make one of the best Americanos in the city and their latte art is always great and “photo worthy”. The vanilla syrup is made in house from real vanilla beans and tastes fabulous when paired with coffee. So if you’re unsure of what to order because the menu proposes too many options, try the Vanilla Latte, or the Americano. You will not be disappointed.
Located at the corner of Yonge and Temperance, in the heart of the Financial District, this fancy place is sure to meet all your coffee shop expectations. Starting from the detailed, hand painted floors, to the comfy red couches, you are sure not to be disappointed when stopping by for your daily cup of Joe.
The thing I love about this place is that it is always busy, and by always I mean ALWAYS busy to the point where you might just be bumping legs with the person sitting next to you. If you’re the type of person who enjoys rowdy places, full of lively, talkative individuals, then this place is for you. However, if you value your quiet time and prefer to be somewhere where the noise level is kept to a minimum, then this place may not be for you.
It’s always nice to meet new people and make small talk with strangers, that is why I love coming to Dineen. Whether a conversation about coffee, work, school, or even just the weather strikes, it’s a perfect opportunity to meet someone new!
This is a great location to take lovely pictures. Although the lighting isn’t completely natural, the interior and aesthetics are incredible. Starting with the floor-to-ceiling windows, to the outstanding chandelier, the marble tables, and spacious patio, you are sure to capture amazing coffee shots.
This place is sure to be your next meeting spot, or as I would usually do.. go alone with your laptop and a camera. However, be sure to dress appropriately considering they are located in the Financial District.
